Germany 30 Short. European stocks are falling. The third Covid wave derailed previous hopes for recovery. The German DAX (Germany30) loses 0.2%, the CAC 40 in France fell 0.98% and the British FTSE index 1.83%. The growth outlook in Europe is weakening as the third wave of Covid-19 infections leads to further restrictions on mobility and further delays in economic recovery. Germany, the EU’s largest population in terms of population, saw the largest daily increase in confirmed cases of coronavirus since Thursday 22 January. France has said it plans to close eight French regions, including the Ile de France region around Paris.
